Couple & Cat Photoshoot

A professional portrait session for your cat doesn’t have to feel overwhelming—but it does deserve a little thought, a little intention, and a whole lot of understanding of who your cat truly is.

Because at Pawparazzi, we don’t just photograph pets—we truly understand their personality & the relationship they share with you. 🤍

This 2 hour photoshoot with Aliya, Arjun & their 3 cattos is definitely one that goes in the forever books! From the moment I entered their home, Phobe & Pearl would circle around my legs all the while chatting & telling me "hi!" in their own catto language. I decided to go to the sofa to sit & introduce myself to them, but it seems like that wasn't even required! These 2 cuties are more like doggos & just came straight onto my lap & wanted butt pats!

Apart from telling you about each catto & their personalities, I thought in this blog post, I should also address some of the questions you guys have about cat shoots! So let's get started!

Where will the session take place?

For most cat parents, stepping out of the house with the cattos is usually reserved for vet visits—and not exactly their favourite outing.

Are they the kind who slips easily into a carrier, curious and unbothered?

Or does the mere sight of it send them into a full-blown disappearing act?

Some cats surprise you. They travel well, peek out of those adorable little “spaceship” backpacks, or walk in confidently on a harness—taking in the world like it belongs to them.

But Phoebe, Pearl & Claws were not like that AT ALL!

They are the homebodies—the ones who feel safest in their own corners, on their favourite chair, under familiar light. For them, home isn’t just comfort… it’s everything.

But even at home, it’s important to be honest about their personality. Are they curious when someone new walks in, slowly making their way over to investigate?Or do they vanish under the bed, choosing distance over discovery?

So the big question becomes: what feels right for your cat?

What do I need to keep ready?

Honestly, shoots with cats are much simpler than with dogs. Just focus on keeping them comfortable. A new person in their space can be scary.

  1. Wet treats work wonders -

many many cattos absolutely love the wet treat packs. Keep a few handy that can be used as bribery!

  2. Toys & distraction worthy stuff -

So many times, a random paper ball, rubber band, scrunchie also work just as good as a feather teaser does.

For these cuties, a tuft of hair, a wet treat packet & random scrunchies lying around were more than enough to keep them engrossed & playful during the shoot!

Embracing the chaos

Now that you've prepped your outfits & the basics that your cattos would need, all you need to do is go with the flow & embrace the choas that's about to ensue. If they don't like being picked up, that's okay! Let me snuggle in their cat tree (that's who they are!) If your love language is rough WWE play, please do it! We would love to capture the craziness that your relationship with them holds!

Claws is a catto that prefers to be alone. He likes watching everything from a distance, doesn't compete with his sisters for treats or play, likes to just relax...So we let him be! I stalked him a bit while he's be all snuggled up in his cat house.

Pearl on the other hand is the most playful. She loves being in your lap to get butt smacks, is a total weirdo & can play with absolutely anything you put infront of her, has a weird affinity towards hair ties & will somehow coax you into giving her extra food even after she's eaten!

And lastly, Phoebe, the chonkiest, sweetest one of them all. Even though she loves playing just as much as Pearl does, Phoebe prefers being around people more than being alone. She just plonks herself onto you & purrs while you pet her.

Your pets are the quiet comfort, the unexpected chaos, the personality that fills a home in the most beautiful, unspoken ways. Whether your cat is bold and mischievous or soft, observant, and a little mysterious—they deserve to be seen, understood, and photographed with intention.

At Pawparazzi, we bring the experience to them. Right into their space, their corners, their rhythm—where they feel the most like themselves.

There’s no rush, no pressure, no expectations. We move at their pace, follow their cues, and let their personality unfold naturally—capturing moments that feel honest, not staged.

And with just a little bit of preparation, the entire experience becomes even more seamless—for you, and for your feline baby. 🤍

"I had the most wholesome experience during the shoot with my cats and Prathima. She was incredibly intuitive when it came to all three cats and their personalities. She made an active effort to get their attention and didn't force them to sit or stay or be uncomfortable for the sake of the pictures. All the cats took an immediate liking to her and that says a lot about her kind and gentle nature.

Despite their different personalities, she managed to bring them all together for a few clicks and allowed their energy and moods to come through. The shoot was in the comfort of my home and it felt very special to be able to immortalise all my furbabies in pictures.

Prathima has a spectacular work ethic, her objective leans towards the pet's comfort and convenience and I found her energy perfect for the kind of work she does. My pets have implicit trust in her, and so do I.

Will definitely be reaching out for her to capture the next big milestone in my life."
